XR500 Ethernet won't detect connection
My XR500 won't detect any internet from my ISP's modem. Initially, I thought it was a modem issue, so I swapped it with Spectrum. Once I set up the new modem and connected to the XR500, the router would not show a connection to the internet. The internet light won't turn on (no amber light either). I tried rebooting the entire network multiple times, updated/reinstalled the firmware (V2.3.2.134) a couple of times, swapped multiple ethernet cables, and factory reset the router numerous times. Every time the DumasOS would try to connect to the internet, it would say the Ethernet is not plugged in. None of the prior mentioned worked. I did confirm that it is isolated to the router since I replaced the modem and used another router to check cables and connections. The socket looks fine and doesn't have any strange smells. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do you know if your ISP requires you use PPPoE, VLAN or DHCP identifiers to get connected to the internet?
Could you try going to 192.168.1.1/debug.htm, and change LAN port 1 to WAN port.
Then connect a cable from LAN port 1 to the modem and see if you have internet then?

I believe that Spectrum uses both Static IP and DHCP.
I tried swapping LAN port 1 to WAN port but even the modem didn't recognize that it was connected to a router. (assuming the green lights on the back of the modem should light up when connected to a router, which it does to the test router I am using). No internet connection.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

The current FW on XR500 is V2.3.2.134 (which I believe is the latest). I have completed a full network reboot since the FW update/reinstall along with trying numerous CAT5/6 cables. I am now using a Spectrum Modem Hitron EN2251 after trading in a Arris modem from Spectrum.

So try a reboot of the XR while it's connected to the ISP modem and it's ON. Or power OFF the XR router for 10 seconds then back ON.
I've noticed that on my XR450, if I reboot the modem, the XR won't connect, the XR needs one more reboot or power cycle while the ISP modem is ON for it to connect...
Try a factory reset on the XR router and walk thru the setup wizard with a wired PC and web browser...
