XR500 Wifi speeds very slow

I've tried everything this forum mentioned

Turn off QoS, turn of data sharing, wifi setup with Dumas, Set MAC address to previous router and nothing worked

Qos is set 300 up and 300 down 100%

My ISP speed should be 300mb up and down

I have tried on 2 different computers for speed testing - macbook pro and gaming pc - both wireless and wired (plug into XR500)

Wireless i get 100-130 down 300up - on both computers

Wired (plug into XR500) I get 310 down 300up

So im sure its Wifi setting / config / hardware issue

I need help fixing this issue

Please and thank you

  • Turn off Smart Connect and connect to the 5GHz, what do you get with that?
Also download a WiFi analyser and change it to the least congested channel. Weird though that the down on wireless is the only thing affected

What Is your ISP suppeed UP and down that you pay for?

What devices are you using to speed test?

Wireless speeds on most wifi devices max out at around 400-500Mb on 5Ghz AC.

That's so weird. It's just your download speed that's slow over WiFi? Everything else is hitting expected speeds i.e. LAN, upload over WiFi?

Is there anything using the connection at the same time that could be slowing this down?

In >QoS >Anti-Bufferbloat, have you set your max speeds to 300mbps in the Antu-Bufferbloat settings?
