XR700 Issues

So I got an XR700. Great router features wise but am having a bunch of issues. I will list below.

I am trying to connect a bunch of devices via LAN. When I connect they mostly work fine however when there is a DHCP lease change or I restart the router a bunch of devices show up as offline and won't connect. In this situation trying to connect these devices via WiFi doesn't work either and I could only fix it via factory reset but the problem reappears later.

One of my devices won't connect to the router no matter what. When I look at the settings on that device it says the IP address is 192.168.100.162. The IP addresses the router is issuing are under 192.168.1.x not 192.168.100.x. If I try to disconnect and reconnect this device on another port or restart the router the same problem appears. Only a factory reset could fix it but then the problem above appeared.

I recently upgraded my speed from my ISP to 1Gb down and the router was working fine initially giving me the higher speeds. Then I restarted the router to try and fix the first issue and now the router will only connect at 100Mb though the lights are all saying 1Gb. I tried restarting the router but it still connects at the slower speed. If I plug my laptop directly to the modem it gives the 1Gb speeds so the problem is with the router somewhere.

I don't want to keep factory resetting only to have problems reappear. Any idea how to fix these?

  • Give your devices a reserved IP address in LAN Settings. The one device that has trouble have you given it static network settings on the device itself? Look on the Device Manager at the table view, do all ports show 1000Mbits link speed? Have you entered your speeds in the Anti-Bufferbloat menu?

I was hoping not to have to go down the path of reserved IP's as I have a lot of devices and connecting them 1 by 1 and assigning IP's will be slow. The one that keeps connecting to an incorrect IP isn't set to static IP as if I plug my old router in it works fine and connects to an IP under 192.168.1.x. All devices are showing 1000Mbits on Network Map. Where is the Anti Bufferbloat menu?
