Yesterday ran into issues again

Do you have more information about what is included in this release? As this is taking so long, my concern is that the backlog of fixes/improvements i growing in parallel. Do we have to wait another 6 months for the next update? Or will there be more frequent updates?

Yesterday ran into issues again. Router got reset to factory settings after a simple reboot. Maybe if I know what is included in the release I can wait a bit longer. But I'm at the point of just writing this one off and buy a new router from a different brand.

What was the reason for the reboot?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

How do you have the LAN DHCP features and Wireless settings configured?

What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Thanks for your reply. I don't have any issues with the WiFi. It's just the stability overall and fact that the router still has some bugs and the interface is so slow to work with. The topic I was supposed to reply to is about the lack of VPN.

Overall it just doesn't feel as a high tier router.

I think we're feeling pretty confident that this next update will be a good one - we're putting a lot of time into getting it right.
  • To add to the above, the next XR1000 firmware isn't far off, we believe to have gotten past and resolved the most complicated issues and are working on completing the rest of the testing that they were blocking. It's hard to give an ETA I'm afraid, as much as I'd love to promise a specific date there's just too many variables blocking that. I really don't see it taking 6 months though, XR firmwares in general are top priority for us at the moment.
