Deleting access to a CBR750

I have a CBR750 at a rental property I am selling.  I want to relinquish ownership of this device, and remove my remote access to it via the ORBI app.  I also have an ORBI setup at my  permanent residence that I do not want to remove.

I see on the ORBI Connect Anywhere app that I can Delete My Netgear Account.  If I access that while I'm connected to the device in question, will that affect my remaining device that I want to keep.

Will doing a physical factory reset on the device I want to remove, which I plan to do, remove that  device from my account?

Thanks for the quick response.  To clarify, I should-

1,  DO a factory reset on the physical device.

    2.  Remove the device from my my.netgear account.

    3.  DO NOT Delete MY Netgear Account (which chat support recommended.  I thought that sounded odd)

This will allow the new owner full access to the device once he sets up an account and adds the device to his account.

    Correct?

  • You can remove it from Orbi app and I would also remove it from your NG account as well:

Only removing from Orbi app/NG Account only effects the device our removing.

        Yes.

        Yes.

Correct. Just remove the devices if seen there from your NG account.

    Hello @EricPh,

    Welcome to the NETGEAR Community!

As mentioned by @FURRYe38 please visit https://my.netgear.com to remove your CBR750 from your account. Be sure not to select the "delete my NETGEAR Account". That option will delete your account associated with NETGEAR causing you to loose purchase history, paid subscriptions, and purchase history.

    Best,

    Kevin
