RBR50 Connection Problem with iPhone

I tried to install the latest firmware update to my RBR50 router through the Orbi App on my iphone. The app tells me that I am not connected to the router even though I am using the wifi network provided by the router.  I followed the help suggestions and turned off my two satellites but that didn't help. I tried the "connect remotely" option from the App  and was told that the router is not on line.  It has to be online beause I still have my wifi network throughout thehouse and internet connction is good.  My router is equipped with the BitDefender option; I don't know if that has an impact.  So, in summary my wifi network is working well I just can't access my RBR50 to update the firmware.

  • Hi PhilBeard,

You may need to factory reset the Orbi router by holding down on the reset button for 15+ seconds. You will need to run through the setup assistant again.

    Hello PhillBeard,

You may try reinstalling the Orbi app. You may also try forgetting the WiFi network on your iPhone and reconnecting to the WiFi network.

Thanks. I tried both but neither solved the problem.
