960 Wreaking Havoc
I am on Firmware Version V7.2.8.8_5.1.24.
1 Main router with 2 satellites hardwired.
The ORBI router was intercepting all DNS traffic which frequently lead to unresolved DNS names and DNS timeouts. I had Netgear Armor and Parental Controls enabled. I reduced all controls to minimum so nobody had any filters, and the still, DNS was failing to respond in a timely fashion. This meant web pages would display errors after minutes waiting for the timeout, my kids games couldn't connect to server endpoints. Not all websites and games were affected, but probably 60%. My personal computer had similar issues and I have no parental controls enabled.
To fix this issue, I had to toggle off cart blanc in it's entirety the Netgear Armor and Netgear Parental controls in the settings.

How did you update the system FW? Manually or was it automatic?
Had you done a factory reset on the system after FW was updated and setup from scratch to see if this issue was still happening?
