Cannot connect to the internet with new Orbi

Hi, I have owned a Orbi RBR50 and satellite connected via a Draytek Vigor 130 modem for several years, without issues other than the occasional drop out which I put down to too many devises on the network.

To overcome this I have just purchased a New Orbi RBKE963B from Netgear/Amazon with two satellites.

Part way through the set up it will not find the internet. I have retried many times and reset both the Modem and the Orbi but everytime its the same.

My old Orbi/Draytek sysetem is working fine so the Draytek Modem is confirmed as ok.

I have reset the modem but it still wont connect.

My ISP is BT Internet / Openreach. copper the last hundred yards.

I do not have the original BT Router or any other Modem and dont really want to purchase a new one as I am not convinced there is anything wrong with my Dratek 130

Any help please

Did you first turn OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute then back ON with the new RBR connected?

Check with the ISP to see if there is any special WAN side configurations needed, like PPPoE or anything else that maybe needed. DHCP is most common for connections with routers and modems.

Have the ISP make sure the modem is in full modem mode. This model modem doesn't seem to have a router built in. Have the ISP check to ensure the modem is working well.

Try setting up the new RBR using it's web page: https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface

What Firmware version is currently loaded on the new RBR and RBS?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

    Disable IPv6 on the RBR.

Try using custom DNS like Cloudfare or Quad9 if needed.
