Can't attach Orbi Satellite

I am having problems connecting this 6th satellite to my orbit 850 router? What should I do?

  • Netgear recommends fewer than six satellites on this model:

However, Netgear does not say it is impossible to connect six satellites. (only that they do not recommend doing so)

On the original Orbi WiFi5 products, a common practice was to temporarily power off existing satellites while connecting a new one.  It might be worth trying powering off the satellites that would not be required to get this sixth satellite connected.  (i.e. if the goal is to "Daisy Chain" this new one through an existing satellite, then it obviously has to be powered up. But satellites "on the other side" of the network would not be.)

Not quite.  It does recommend no more than 4 satellites with wireless backhaul.  But if rongerber can switch to a wired backhaul on two satellites, then that would potentially work.

That said, I am also wondering about the space rongerber is trying to cover.  6 satellites + the router might not be needed.

FW on this one RBS the same version as the rest?

What happens if you turn OFF one of the other RBS temporarily?

What is the size of his home in sq feet?
