Cut xFin Equipment - add Netgear CM1200 modem with best Netgear router

Good day…

I want to cut out xFin last piece of equipment and that’s the router/modem and their xFin system.  I purchased a CM1200 modem and a AC1200 router.  Not sure I have enough power to connect 28-30 devices in my 1,600 square foot 2 story home.  My whole house is wireless with most of the devices on lower level.  Bedrooms are upstairs with very limited wireless devices (cameras, 2 dots and gaming system).  I have always had connectivity issues in my 6 years here.  I can cut my internet only bill in half if I use my own equipment.  On a budget, but if I’m gonna invest in getting a router, I’mm only gonna do this once, meaning I hate buying something then have to turn around and additional products after the fact.  Looking at Netgear’s Orbi mesh system.  What would  you consider with the CM1200 modem?

  • Orbi AX 3, or 7 series would work best. For that size of home, a RBR and 1 RBS would be all that you need.

Thank you for your response…so an AX350 or AX353 or AX753 ( 3 or 7 series) with one satellite is what you are suggesting?

I see some with 2 satellites new and used at a discount.  I’ve seen some videos where they have purchased a used system - seems to work well.  Looking now thanks again
