How to connect RBR850 to RBS50?

hi all,

 

I have just ordered the RBK852 to upgrade my current ORBI system (RBK52).

 

I have gone through some posts here and notice that the RBS50 can be used as wired satellie for RBR850.

 

As per my understanding, the inital setup between the RBR and RBS would need to be connected via wireless, so may i check how to make the connection between RBR850 and RBS50 to let them into a network?

    The RBS50 have to be connected only by Ethernet so you'll need to try to connect them first via ethernet cable. 

    RBS50 are not wirelessly compatible with Orbi AX.

      yes i understand that they can be worked fine with wired connection which I am planning to do.

       

      I was asking "how to do it".

       

      should i plug-in the cable between the RBR850 and RBS50 then run the "Add Satellite" on 192.168.1.1?

        I think just connect the RBS50 to the RBR850 then turn ON the RBS50. I believe it should auto sync and connect...
