How To Update Sat FW BEFORE Adding

I have an RBRE +2 RBSE Satellites. I'm trying to add a third RBSE satellite with no luck. I can't find any information on how to make sure its firmware is up to date without it already being part of the network, and if it was already part of the network, this wouldn't be an issue. The best advice I've seen is to roll back the firmware on the RBRE to match what's on the RBSE, but I have no idea what FW is currently on the RBSE.

How do I either update the firmware or find out what firmware it has?

The primary difference is that the User Manual for the 950 and 960 products states that the Satellite Self Service page will appear at IP 192.168.1.250, but this guide states it will appear in an entirely different IP subnet, 192.168.10.250.  This means that a computer must be set to a static IP address in the 192.1168.10.x subnet.

      Yes, 960.

Thank you for the guide. Do you know if there’s a version for Mac?

Thank you! No luck, though. Am I doing this part right?

When I put 192.168.1.250 into the browser, it just tells me I'm not connected to the internet.

This technique appears to provide access to an RBSE satellite:

Disconnect do a Factory Reset on the satellite (using that tiny 'rest' hole)

Disconnect a computer/laptop with an Ethernet port from everything else. (not wired to anything. no active WiFi)

Configure the Ethernet adapter to a Static IP in the IP subnet 192.168.1.x (anything except 192.168.1.250). Subnet mask 255.255.255.0

Connect the computer/laptop to a LAN port on the satellite.

Open a web browser and open the web site 192.168.1.250.

The satellite web interface should appear and display the current firmware release.

(if credentials are requested, they should be "admin" and "password")

Please post if this works for you.
