HP Printer needs to connect to 2.4GHZ Channel

I have the latest ORBI AXE Wifi Router. My HP printer is connecting to the 5 GHZ Channel, but I need it to connect to the 2.4 GHZ channel to scan. I have tried disabling the AX on the wireless settings, but that did nothing to help. The app will not allow me to have a device connect to a different network. Please help. Thank you so much!

  • Is this the 9 series Orbi?

Did you try using the IoT network to connect the printer too on 2.4Ghz?

If the printer has a ethernet port, connect it to the system via ethernet for best operation.

Contact the Mfr of the printer for help and support regarding there product as well.

I struggle to see how which frequency band the HP printer has chosen would affect a function such as scanning.

    Does it print correct?

What is the model number of HP printer?

How are you attempting to get it to Scan?

    • Using a button on the printer?
    • Using an app on a computer?
    • Or....?

My Printer is an HP9010 All in one. Apparently, it ONLY supports 2.4GHZ. It prints but will not scan. I used to use the printer settings on my MAC but then switched to HP SMART. Now HP SMART says it is off line, but status shows its IP address and it is clearly NOT offline. It prints fine, but will not scan. That is my problem. Can't get it on the 2.4GHZ band. Thank you!
