I don't know how to do that. I am completely not tech savy.

  • What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Try disabling AX mode on the RBR...

        1. Open the Google Home app on your phone,
        2. Choose the Google Home device,
        3. Go to settings (the cog wheel).
        4. Find the setting "Let others control your cast media" and disable it.

Also please let us know what device do you have between your Orbi and your internet plug? Any modems router? if yes what is the make and model of this device?

I have almost all types of Google Home devices connected to my Orbi RBK852 with no issue:

    • 2 x Google Home
    • 3 x Google Home Mini
    • 1 x Google Nest Mini
    • 3 x Google Nest Hub

Most of the time i see those devices connected to the 5GHz band. I have AX enabled.

    1. What modem/router do you have between Orbi and your ISP? Please check for double NAT.
    2. On the Google Home devices, please disable "Let others control your cast media" since this will make the each device broadcast it's own SSID which can cause much interference if you have many Google Home devices. I noticed that this can cause other devices at home not to work properly.
