Orbi 760 and Vodafone FTTP in the UK

Hi,

I've just installed my new Orbi 760 and Satellite systems connecting to my Vodafone FTTP (gigabit fibre)

My FTTP box on the wall connects to my Orbi main modem/router unit via ethernet and I have connected 3 orbi satellites(2 via LAN and 1 via wireless) to the main Orbi router and  everything seems to be working.

However, the download speeds are shocking(I was consistently getting 600mbps/150mbps download/upload speeds with Vodafone's Ultrahub modem/satellites

Is there anything else I should be doing? I have updated firmware, changed wifi channels, rebooted, factory reset etc.

I'm not a total newbie at Wifi networks, but double NAT and DMZ is a bit above my head.

Is there an idiots guide, or has anyone got any tips for setting this up correctly?

Thanks,

MV

You put what you were getting, but what are you getting now?

Oops. Apologies, forgot to mention speeds.

I am now getting with Orbi main and 3 satellites(2 hard wired and 1 via mesh) Max upload speed of 100 mbps and 70 mbps upload.

Spoke to tech support and was pretty much a waste of time.

She asked me to set the primary and secondary dns to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

      Any other tips?

A speed of "almost 100Mbps" is often a clue that the router has auto-negotiated the Ethernet link at 100M/Full Duplex.

Can you check the Orbi web interface, Advanced Tab home page. Click the blue box "Show Statistics" to see what is listed for the WAN port?

If it reads 100M/Full, it might be a good idea to try a different Ethernet cable for the WAN port to the fiber box.
