Orbi 860 mesh with 3 satellites devices failing to reconnect after router reboot.
I have a lot of Shelly devices about 90 odd. All smart home devices are connected to the LoT wifi, all have DHCP reserved addresses, had to do a reboot of the router after adding a reserved address to the DHCP list, the router came back up, 3 of the 4 satellites reconnected albeit they took a while, the 4th would not connect, ended up having to power cycle that unit. Found 70% of smart devices would not reconnect, even iPhone and MacBook were connecting to main wifi the disconnected the connected and then disconnected again, took a long time to stabilise, only way I could get the Shelly devices connected again was to disable the LoT wifi for 5min the enable it again then the started reconnecting. Just power cycling Shelly devices was not enough. Very frustrating. Any ideas on why this could be happening. Just bought this orbi system and already regretting it.

Modem is a Draytek vigar 167 as modem only, all RBS’s are connected to RBR via cat6 back haul, it’s the wifi Lot that won’t connect, mostly Shelly plus1 used for light switch controls and retic, but watching iPhone struggle to get a stable wifi link and MacBook Pro also, iPhone sit there for 2min connecting with wifi and times out then tries again, the connects, then 5 seconds later drops back to 4G while trying to connect to wifi again, MacBook does the same, so I’m assuming the Shelly devices have also given up. I watch the Web interface show devices connected climbing from 40 to 50, the 60, then back into 50’s, then slowly climb to mid 70’s then 80’s the start dropping again, sometimes back into the 50’s.
the price you pay for these things you expect way better than this rubbish, I have an IT background for work thanks diagnose faults network related every day, I have never bee In a situation that I dread doing a simple reboot thinking it’s going to take me another 2hrs of my life I’ll never get back just getting my smart home devices reconnected. My 2018 google wifi would reconnect every thing within 1-2mins of rebooting, just thought I would update to a more furtive proof wifi system as I’m pushing 100 connected devices now, so updated to the Mia Orbi 860 system and have regretted ever since. I I find a reliable work around that works each time I need to reboot or following a power failure, I can work with it, should have too, but can. If I’m not home and have a power failure, one should expect that all items that were connected to the wifi for weeks or months prior, should just reconnect without human intervention.
firmware on RBR and all RBS’s is V7.2.7.15
