Orbi 960 and Snap AV
I am trying to connect an Orbi 960 to a Surfborad SB8200 that has two ethernet ports. I am using one port to connect to a Snap AV network that uses Control4 system. I am trying to use the other port to connect to Orbi 960 Mesh wifi system.
I can only connect one network. if I connect the Snap AV network, the Orbi router will not connect. If I connect the Orbi 960 Router first, then the Snap AV network will not connect.
They appear to be blocking each other for some reason.
Has anybody experienced this and found a work around?

Your observation is correct. The Surfboard SB8200 cable modem connects to one device, the first one that is connected.
You have to choose:
- Connect the Snap and then connect the Orbi router to the Snap, or
- Connect the Orbi and connect the Snap to the Orbi.
Like CrimpOn, the sb8200 will only connect 1 device. The reason why is the ISP only assigns 1 public IP address.
You might be able to call your ISP and see if you can pay for a 2nd IP address (not very likely), switch to a business class line that supports those features, or you can just go modem->router->snap AV
