Orbi AX 4200 not connecting to Dell laptop

I have seen the other posts about this problem and tried the CTS fix without success. I have Netgear twice and have been hung up on twice. I have a corporate Dell E5470 running Windows 7. Can anyone help?  I could connect all of my other devices. I am very disappointed in the tech support

  • What is the mfr and model# of the wifi adpter in the laptop?

Ensure the wifi drivers for the adapter is updated fully from the Mfrs web page.

Disable AX mode on the RBR temporarily to see if the laptop will connect...

I have a Microsoft virtual WiFi mini port adapter#2 and intel dual band wireless AC 8260. I tried to update using the "properties" and both are up to date. Is the AX mode on the laptop or the Orbi?

You need to got to Intel's web site to download and manually install any updates for the Intel wifi adapter.

On the RBRs web page under Basic tab/wireless settings. Just uncheck the check marks and apply the change for each radio.

It connected. Is it ok to leave the AX disabled?  I only did it for the 2.4G one

You can if you don't have anything on 2.4Ghz that's AX supporting. I would try updating adapter drivers on the adapter, then re-enable AX on 2.4Ghz and see if the adapter connect with AX mode enabled.
