In what way does it not work in the home? That could cover many sins.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended. What devices do you have connected?
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.- Studking42Aspirant
Thanks. I will try some of these suggestions.
Distance between server and satellites has worked fine for last year or more. closest neighbor is 1/4 mile, so not a factor.
We don't know that distances so please give feedback for that. Thanks.
You really didn't give us much to go off.
1. what modem/gateway is the router connected to?
2. You put it works in a remote building but not your home. How do you have it laid out.
Modem (model)--->RBR750 (in home? in remote building)---connected how----->to satellites (in home/remote)
You need to lay out what your network is, how you have everything attached, and more details on what you actually get.
Poor internet doesn't say much. What actual speeds are it in each? Is it using wireless backhaul? Wired? Etc.
The more you tell us, the better we can help.
