Orbi RBR750 won’t connect to Xbox live

Installed RBR750 Orbi mesh system with 2 satellites and all wifi working fine. I connected the Xbox One to the RBR750 via Ethernet cable and although apps like Netflix work, it won’t connect to Xbox Live. However, if you unplug the Ethernet cable it all connects no problem via wifi. I would prefer it to be connected via Ethernet. Do I need to make any changes to the DNS settings on the Xbox? Any advice much appreciated.

    what modem/gateway is the orbi connected to?

      the Orbi is plugged directly into the Openreach ONT on the wall (rather than via the BT Smarthub 2)

        What is the brand and model # of the ONT? 

        Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the ONT and router and Xbox. CAT6 is recommended. 

        Does the xbox connect to the RBRs wifi signal instead of using ethernet? 

         

        No changes are needed on the RBR for xbox. 

        What FW is loaded on the RBR?
