Orbi RBR760 - No Internet after ISP Change
Hello NetGear Community,
I am in need of assistance and I know this is the right place.
My Orbi RBR760 has been running without any issues until this. I switched my ISP from Rogers to Bell and noticed the Orbi mesh network was down. I tried the following after:
1. Setting up the network by following instructions for new ISP
2. Hard reset (holding reset in the back) to restore to factory settings and following the setup instructions.
However every time I go through the steps the Orbi Router is unable to connect to the internet (tried hard reset 5 times). I called the support line and they told me that the router had locked because of the IP change. But for them to help they need me to send them payment for the security plan. Just frustrating that they are able to help but wont unless I send them $200-$300...
Could someone in NetGear community help me please!!
Thank you!!

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellite(s) been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

It is a Bell Modem - Giga Hub P/N - 253960552
Yes, I have tried a few different cables now. Still no luck. Also tried on a different modem and no luck.
Thank you for the instructions, but even after all this no luck either. I tried to take it to a Geek Squad Tech and they were no help either....their networks are protected so they cant even try to connect.Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Try option #2 first...
