Orbi Satellite won't show devices connected

I have the Orbi router and one satellite.  I have the version called CBK752 which includes the cable modem.  Initial setup was just fine 2 months ago.  Now, however, via the app and web, no devices will show as connected to the satellite.  I know devices are connected, and the satellite status is just fine.  However, i can't see the devices at all.  Therefore I can't disconnect devices, like for kids at night.

Firmware is up to date with v3.2.18.2 on the router and v3.2.18.1 on the satellite.

I have restarted both router and satellite to no avail.

  • New systems come with 90 days of 'complimentary supprt'.  My 90 days went by before I had any reason to ask for help, so I never used it.

Would be very interested to see if Netgear is able to help you.

I ordered the router on April 26th and turned on May 4th.  My original post was incorrect.  I'm now out of the 90 day window.  Shame on me for not following up sooner!

This is a puzzle.  The web site shows the most recent version of the RBS750 (S for satellite) as 4.6.3.7. The release notes were issued 7/13/2021.

Can you double check the model number and version number on the satellite?

You are correct.  I confirmed that the 'firmward update check' that runs on the web gui was just incorrect.  I had to manually download the firmware update 4.6.3.7 and apply to the satellite.  I've done that.  Since then i have unplugged the device twice.  I confirmed that the new firmware is showing as applied, and it did not solve the problem.

The satellite still shows no device connected while my son is using his kindle fire that is not showing up on the main orbi device.

  • What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Is Armor enabled on the CBR750?

The home is 3500 sq feet.  It's a single story rectangle.  The main router is in one corner where the cable comes in.  I placed the satellite around 50 ft away on the opposite wall, but toward the middle of the home.  All status shows green on everything i check.  For whatever reason, no devices show up on the satellite.  As I type this, i have two devices that are connected and streaming and they do not show up as a device on the main router.  They just don't show up at all on the Orbi app or the web gui.  My assumption is that they are connected to the satellite, just not reporting.

Do they show up on the RBS web page if you log in to it?

What web browser are you using?

What devices are you using that are not appearing to be displayed?
