RBK763S - Latest Firmware Issues (V6.3.6.2_1.2.66)

I just received the latest firmware update (V6.3.6.2_1.2.66) for my RBK763S system (1 router, 2 satellites).

Web Interface on Desktop PC

  • On the 'Firmware Update' screen (under Advanced -> Administration), the Satellites are no longer listed.
  • On the 'Home' screen, I see my 2 Satellites in the Attached Devices box ("Number of Satellites: 2").  If you click on 'Attached Devices', you can see 119 Satellite entries all Disconnected with repeating names and MAC Addresses.  No Satellites show connected in the 'Connected Satellites' section, but I do see other devices under 'Connected Devices'.

Mobile Interface (Android)

  • On home page, I see 0 of 0 Satellites connected (Network Map shows the same).  When I go into 'Device Manager', I see both Satellites listed but not as Satellites, just as devices.

With these issues, I have no idea if my Satellites are running or not.

I didn't update anything.  It was auto-updated.  How do I update the RBS separately now?  If The RBS needs to be updated first, why didn't it happen automatically?  Why wasn't there a note/email/text/anything from Netgear about this requirement?

      • Was there a auto update disable seen on prior version of FW on the FW update section on the RBRs web page?

Do the RBS show up as connected on the RBRs web page at all? Might need to downgrade the RBR back to prior version to get the RBS to connect then update them first, then bring the RBR back to current version.
