RBK850 Not Connecting/Struggling to Connect to Microsoft Exchange Servers

Need some help figuring this one out - in the last week or so, my Outlook is often failing to connect (or trying to connect for upwards of 45 seconds) due to some blocking/connectivity issues. My PC is directly wired to the Orbi base unit.

 

1) When my PC is connected directly to my FIOS ONT - no issues

2) When using CloudFlare Warp (VPN) which was a recommended solution elsewhere - no issues

3) It may be related, but similar issue happens when trying to access MS OneDrive - with CloudFlare Warp solving the connection issue/slow down as well).

 

The Orbi unit is on the latest firmware (V7.2.7.15) and been rebooted multiple times.

 

I have looked at all advanced settings and see nothing set that could restrict or impact this.

  • One possible solution might be to set the Orbi to use different DNS servers than those provided by the ISP.

    I chose CloudFlare (1.1.1.1) and Google (8.8.8.8)
