RBR750 + 4 satellites as AP’s
I am confused as to how Access Points are supposed to behave where connections are concerned. If I setup my RBR750 and satellites to use as access points, how would a mobile phone connected to WiFi behave? Would it connect to whatever AP is closest as I move through house or does it stay connected to one satellite all the time?
It seems to stay connected to one specific satellite which is not always the most optimal connection.
I seem to have multiple devices that connected to a satellite that is not optimal….yet that’s the one they chose. Is there a way to get them to connect to the strongest signal?

It's up to wifi devices to pick and choose where they connect too. Orbi just provides the platform is all.
Disable the wifi radio on the wifi device for 5 seconds them move closer to the nearest RBS or RBR, then re-enabled the wifi radio on the wifi device. It should connect to to the closer signal.
- Chester0711AspirantThank you, yes I have tried that. It sort of works but then when I leave the house and come back it starts all over again. But I understand it is probably a limitation to the device more so than the satellite or network itself
Most likely.
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)?
