RBR750 unable to be set up with NBN fibre to the premises
Hi
I previously had this working fine with fibre to the node but have changed my provider and I now have fibre to premises as opposed to fibre to the node as I had previously.
I have deleted and reinstalled the Orbi app and I have turned off the other network hardware and followed the instructions for setup. It seems to be stuck at the process where I expect the orbi to turn from flashing white to solid white. It just goes off and I try to join the Orbi network but that fails. I have looked at all the suggestions ie turning off old tech and mobile data and still I cant join. If I look at the WiFi options to join it doesnt have the Orbi but it does have the old WiFi provider signal! Where is that coming from? Maybe it is imprinted in the Orbi ?
I have deleted the Orbi app and reinstalled it but I still cant get the Orbi to "see " my new provider, I never get to the stage where I can add my new provider's username and login. I have called the new provider a number of times and they haven't been able to help and have suggested you guys might be able to help??
Cheers
Steve

Yes, v.31 hasn't been good for most users.
Should I install a previous version?
Might downgrade the system back to v.21 FW, RBS first, RBR lastly, then factory reset and setup from scratch. Disable the AutoUpdate feature on the RBR to prevent the system from re-updating to v.31. Then setup the system for your configuration and then save off a backup configuration to file for safe keeping.
Also I wonder if you can do a factory reset of the Orbi ?
Can try that as well.
It seems to continue to send the old provider's signal even though it is not connected to it?
The wall unit is a box provided by the National Broadcasting Network here in Oz , they run the fibre network.
It is coonected with a good cable
Might try a 1Gb non managed LAN switch in between the Fiber ONT/Converter unit and the RBR. Something like a GS105 or GS305. Don't connect anything else to this switch.

Try setting up the RBR using a ethernet connected PC and web browser.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A is recommended.- stevie1037Aspirant
