RBR760 admin password reset

When I set up this device, I seem to have changed the admin password, and did not save it anywhere. Is there a way to recover this information, or change the password, to be able to get into the admin site for the router? Performing a hard reset is the last option that I want to go through since I would have to go through and set up too many devices after the reset.

- Going to the orbilogin.net (or.com, or 10.0.0.1) brings me to the login page. The only option is to log in, and no other options (no cancel button, or forgot password option)

- I tried to contact support but I went just over my 3 month mark, so I don't have the extended warranty

- Looked all through the app, but can't find any option to reset the password (unless I missed it)

- Been searching the internet on how to reset the password, but all roads lead to the first bulletpoint

Like I said, I don't want to have to do a hard reset, as some devices are next to impossible to add to a new network (even if I name the wifi the same, with the same password)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, I forgot to add this to the list of things I tried. That never popped up as an option for me. The only thing that comes up is a message that says the IP address was changed to 10.0.0.1 to avoid conflict with my modem, and takes me back to the login page. I tried like 10 times to input the wrong information and it does not ask to reset the pasword.

I see. Might try this, do same thing with the RBR disconnected from the ISP Modem. See if you can get the recovery to pop up. If no, then you'll need to factory reset the RBR and setup from scratch.

Fortunately, this is not an issue.  If the system is reconfigured with exactly the same WiFi credentials, then every WiFi device that was working before will simply reconnect.  Think about it.  How does a WiFi device know "what happened?" when the WiFi signal stops for a while and then resumes?  Every time I replace my WiFi system with a new one, I use exactly the same WiFi credentials and every device simply reconnects.

and.... if I want to "go back" to the previous hardware, it is a simple swap.  When the WiFi reappears, devices reconnect.

I have tried this, in the past, with different results. Maybe it was because it was different hardware, older technology, etc. It is worth the try, but it was a headache adding the orbi from my old mesh network with some of the devices that had to be removed and re-added to apps, which means the settings get wiped out as well. If the hard reset has to happen, totally worth the try, but I also don't want to lose other configurations that I have set up as well.
