RBR760 firmware for WPA2/3 support
The Orbi iphone app (v2.45.1.1), WiFi Settings -> security Method choices are limited to 4 options (None, WPA2, WPA/WPA2, WPA3). Some of my devices do not support WPA3, so I was looking for one that allows a mix (something like WPA2/WPA3).
Other posts suggest upgrading the firmware to v7, but my Orbi app says that the installed firmware (v6.3.8.5_1.4.80) is up to date and no upgrades are available. The NetGear web downloads page says the same thing.
Is there a way to get support for the hybrid/transition WPA2/3 protocol?
I am assuming that the two satellite (RBS760) units would need and upgrade as well...
If you have a need for WPA3, you'll probably need to find a different Orbi system. Models 750, 850, 960 and all BE series now have mixed mode support. I think the 760 series was a limited run and and not givin long term development.

Something to contact NG support about. Not sure if NG will be putting v7 FW out for the 760 series. They should know.

I did and no updates to support the mixed mode are on the horizon. Kind of lame as there is a wpa1/2 option and wpa3 is definitely not backwards compatible. Thanks.

The same reason for moving from wpa to wpa2 - increased security...

I had two accounts and just deleted orbi_guy, so I can't mark this as resolved anymore. Thanks to FURRYe38 and CrimpOn for your responses - networknooby[orbi_guy]
