RBR850 Network Drop and Internet Error: Not Connected
Hey all,
First of all thank you for your time in reading my thread. I think I have an interesting one for you.
Problem:
A little while ago, feels like after the V4.6.9.11_2.3.5 update, I started seeing bad network performance. My RBR850 would announce that "WIFI connect is lost" a few times a day. Ping test to apple.com has more request timeouts than ping.
Firmware:
V 4.6.9.11 or V4.6.9.11_2.3.5
Network topology:
Internet -> Xfinity modem (XB7-T Bridge mode) -> RBR850 (AX6000) -> 24 port unmanaged switch (JGS524NA) -> 1 Satellite (hard wired) -> 1 Satellite (WIFI).
Off the 24 port unmanaged switch I have the following services running:
* Circle Parental Controls hardware
* Mac OS X server running Homebridge server
* Hubs: Hue, Lutron, Tesla solar, Ring
What I tried:
* Called Xfinity in. Replaced all splitters to the street.
* Tested on ethernet behind the RBR850 plugged into the JGS524NA. Still packet loss
* Xfinity tested in front of the RBR850. Meaning, they removed the RBR850 from the picture. No pack loss.
* Rebooted everything multiple times in both directions (Outside in and inside out).
* Removed both Satellites. Still packet drops.
At a loss. Any new ideas would be great.

I'm seeing a lot of Internet drops, network drops and packet loss. I outlined the issue below. I think it's tied to the firmware update however I can't be sure. The RBR850 logs don't say anything.

I think this is the same intermittent issue that is currently seen with wired satellites. Please try the workaround mentioned in the following posts:

Thanks for the suggestions. Disconnected, re-added and re-synced both satellites successfully. Same issue, ping is showing a ton of dropped packets. I felt like I ruled out the satellites when I turned them both off and issue was still happening.
So are you pinging a ISP IP address or something?
How are you pinging?
This is with ALL other devices disconnected from the RBR including the RBS and just a wired PC pinging?
Please edit out any ISP WAN IP addressed from screen captures.
Wondering if our RBR is fauly or someting on the ISP line.
Do you get some ping results with the PC connected directly to the Modem/ONT?
Do you happen to have a spare external router by chance?
Just ran ping test on my 8 series connected to a CAX80 in modem mode:
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router and switch to RBS. CAT6 is recommended.
Do you see PL with the LAN switch and RBS and ALL devices turned OFF accept for 1 wired test PC connected to the RBR?
