RBR850 running slow
I have an Orbi RBR850 router with one satellite connected to a Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 cable modem. Primary RBR connected to modem with Cat 5E cable. There are multiple devices directly connected to the router with Cat 5E cable. I have 1 Gb service. Internet speed test on a computer directly connected to the router is showing only 480 to 500 Mpbs when the modem is connected to the router. When the same computer is directly connected to the Netgear cable modem, I am getting 950 to 1050 Mpbs for internet speed.
Performed a factory reset on both the router and satellite. All firmware is up to date. No change in speed.
When the Orbi system was new, I was getting the 950 to 1050 Mpbs for internet speed - nothing has changed except that the performance has degraded.

Damaged cables can sometimes degrade performance, therefore make sure the cable connecting your RBR850 to the modem is good.

I swapped out cables, no change-still slow. I disconnected all other LAN devices except the one computer, no change - still slow.
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.
How many RBS are deployed?
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR📡 and RBS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update? A complete pull of the power adapters for a period of time after the factory reset then walk thru the setup wizard and setup from scratch with a wired PC and web browser. https://kb.netgear.com/22697/How-do-I-install-my-NETGEAR-router-using-the-router-web-interface
Recommend setting the default DHCP IP address pool range to the following after applying and a factory reset: 192.168.#.100 to 192.168.#.200.

I would power OFF the ISP modem for 1 minute. Factory reset the Orbi router and power it off. Power ON the ISP modem and let it sync. Then power ON the Orbi router and walk thru the setup wizard again using a wired PC and a web browser.
Press the back reset button for 15 seconds then release.

What Firmware version is currently loaded? v4.6.14.3
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. Yes - Good quality LAN cable deployed between the modem and router.
How many RBS are deployed? Per my post - 1
What is the size of your home? Sq Ft? 1200 Sq FtWhat is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. About 60 feet but the issue is not WiFi, my satellite gets good signal from router.
Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, Traffic Meter. None of these are nor have been enabled. No effect on speed.Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router been performed since last update? Yes, multiple times and always in the sequence you mentioned below.
Yes, per my post a full factory reset and start up from scratch IAW Orbi instructions was performed. - No change in speedFor that size of home, you only really need the RBR for coverage.
Does RBR still seem slow if you turn OFF the RBS?
"Primary RBR connected to modem with Cat 5E cable" Cable should be CAT6A STP. 5E doesn't officially support 2.5Gb connection rates that the RBR and CM series modem supports.
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status and event log page.
