Since November, speed measured by the Orbi app shows just 250Mbps download and 2Gbps upload. Previously, download was always in the 1.7Gbps range. Thought ISP was the issue, but they said all customers with Orbi are having the same issue. If i remove Orbi, I can measure full speed on a desktop via ethernet. Odd thing, with Orbi in the network, if i use the speedtest desktop applet, i will still show 250 download. If I open the speedtest website and measure to the same servers as the applet, I get full download speed? Is Orbi throttling apps? The orbi app is powered by speedtest so i guess i shouldn’t be surprised that the desktop applet showed the same slow speed.

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended. What brand and model device are you using to speed test with?
- Meh_n3tg3arAspirantfirmware is 7.2.6.31 Yes, Cat 6 cable is connecting the router to the ont. I can’t get any info off the isp modem. special tools needed to open it and get info

If I open the speedtest website and measure to the same servers as the applet, I get full download speed? Please help me understand. I have access only to an RBR50 and RBR750. One of the things I find disappointing about both of these systems is that the Ookla Speed Test does not report which Ookla server was used to perform the test. (Neither the web interface nor the Orbi 'app')
Does the RBRE960 Speed Test report which Ookla server was used?
Would it be convenient to perform some speed tests using a different measuring process, such as use a web browser with:
- Xfinity: https://speedtest.xfinity.com
- Spectrum: https://www.highspeedinternet.com/tools/speed-test/spectrum
- AT&T: https://www.att.com/support/speedtest/
- Meh_n3tg3arAspirantRight, the Orbi app just says powered by speedtest. From a desktop computer, I can open the speedtest app and speedtest website. From both of those, you can choose different servers. From the desktop app, the download speed measures 250Mbps, just like the orbi iphone app measures. From the speedtest website, i can choose the same server that was used in the speedtest desktop app. The website test will read full download speed. Confirmed over multiple tests and different servers. Again, originally i thought the problem was the ISP, but their tech came out bypassed orbi and read full speed from speedtest…proving it was not their service as the issue.

I desperately want to reproduce this phenomenon..... but cannot.
I'm on Spectrum Cable with a PC wired to the Orbi RBR50, and both the Ookla Speed Test app for Windows (v1.18.194.0) and the Ookla web site both report the same speed when using the Spectrum host in Los Angeles.
You have the same version of Windows Speed Test?
