RBS850 reconnecting to the internet every 2-3 minutes

RBR850
Firmware VersionV4.6.14.3_2.3.12
GUI Language VersionV3.0.1.54_2.1.30.3
Operation Mode Router

We have a our mesh setup and that part works great but we seem to have a problem with the internet. It would seem to be reconnecting every 2-3 minutes. Most of the time you don't notice it due to the buffering etc when streaming. But it can be really annoying if you catch it wrong and you seem to loose the internet at the wrong moment. We have 6 satellites and the backhaul etc is good and there doesn't see to be any problems on the inside of the network.

I have seen the other post on the subjects but didn't see any real answers to the problem

  • After an extensive beta test period, Netgear released new firmware for the 850: v7.2.6.21 (on Sept 😎

Although Netgear is not forcing this update on users (yet), one of the first issues to come up when working on problems is the firmware release.  Here on the forum, our mantra is often, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."  In this particular situation, perhaps updating the firmware would at least remove that issue from the discussion.  Typically, satellites are updated first, and then the router:

Does the Orbi log file indicate that this is happening?  see page 102 in the User Manual:

Thanks for that advice and it seems to have solved one problem but I now have anew one. The internet seems to be stable and good but the Router and whole network now seems to be dropping out completely. the whole network seems to drop out and disappear. If I try and scan it (Advanced ip) there is nothing there.. it then starts to reappear and will work for 15-30mins and then disappear again. The logs aren't showing anything.

Users can now disable NG from auto updating your system as well. There is a disable check box on the RBRs web page.
