Re: Orbi RBR750 satellites not connecting to RBR750 router. Appear to be constantly rebooting??
I think I'm in the same situation as the OP and I want to make sure I understand what I need to do here. I currently don't seem to be able to do ANYTHING with my satellites, and I gather the reason for that is because I have auto FW updates on the RBR750 and there's some sort of incompatability between the latest RBR750 FW update and the latest FW version on the RBS's? And just factory resetting EVERYONE won't resolve this? I need to downgrade and disable auto update FW?
And to do this, I likely need to hardwire the RBS's since I can't connect or see them at all in the app or the admin interface?
I hate to be _that_ guy, but has support released a step by step guide to resolve this? Im usually pretty good with this stuff, so I hate to ask for all this handholding. But here we are.
Thanks,
C
If the RBS failed to get updated first, then yes, downgrade the RBR back to what was loaded on it. Should get the RBS reconnected. Use there IP addresses to access there web pages and manually update them first, once they are updated, update the RBR.
Have all the FW files downloaded to a ethernet connected PC for this. Unpack the .zip files.
Use MS Edge browser.
Connect to the web pages to update the RBS. Then same for the RBR lastly.
Can follow this PDF Guide for this.

Awesome. I think I'm golden. I also figured out that the satellites have their own web admin interface, I don't know how I didn't think of that. For some reason I thought I could only access them via the router. So I downgraded the firmware on the satellites that way, then downgraded the router and as far as I can tell, everything is golden.
I turned off auto updates of firmware and assume that I can happily run for the rest of their useful life at this firmware rev? The likelyhood that I'm going to periodically check and do this again is pretty slim 🙂
Seriously - Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.

Glad you got it working. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
