RBK852 Unable to connect to admin web/app
A bit like the issue with the RBRE960, I now longer can connect to the admin ui of my RBR850 anymore, and the app doesn't seem to find it either. I suspect the issue started May 23rd, when I got a n...

IF the web ui and orbi app are not getting connected, you'll need to factory reset and setup from scratch.
Press the reset button in back of the RBS for 15 seconds then release then do same thing for the RBR. Give about 5 minutes for the RBS to auto connect to the RBRs default network before you start the setup routine.
Set up the system using a ethernet PC and web browser:

Then follow this guide to update the FW:

Should always have a back up config saved to file for safe keeping:

I'll give this a try in the weekend.
My experience with the backup and restore on this device and the RBK50 back in the days was that it's really not working well.
When restoring, the network always acted in weird ways that never happened when you did a factory reset and manually configured everything as before.- FURRYe38May 28, 2026Guru - Experienced User
Can try loading a saved back up if you have one.
One thing I try to do for helping to ensure saved backups are of good quality, after a system is setup first or from a factory reset, set up the system initially, get the basics going. Then save off one back up at this point. Then any additional features and configurations you enable or input, then save off another backup to file. That way you have two options for back up, if needed. I also tend to have backups for each FW version as well as sometimes as FW graduates, it may reveal issues with older versions of backups generated from prior versions of FW.
