RBR850 Slower Than Expected

I've followed the instructions to force update my FW. Thanks FURRYe38 KevinLiT StephenB ! I now have 7.2.7.15 on both the router and satellite. May have helped a little, but still not right.
My speeds at the Modem continue to be at or better than 1Gb/1Gb. But via WiFi 12inches away from the router, I see 750Mb Down/520Mb Up.
The Modem is Hitron EN2251 - brand new as of 2 months ago. My plan is definititely 1Gb/1Gb on a Coax Modem. I've used the Orbi app on my phone as well as Speedtest.net to test speeds at Modem, Router and Satellite independently. I've tested the speed at the Modem via the cable to the Router and get the 1Gb/1Gb speed via that ethernet cable - cable's good.

I don't expect my speed tests to peg at 1Gb/1Gb everytime, but i never see anything other than some level of speed degradation via WiFi and Upload is usually significantly degraded. Am I expecting too much? -JeffinDallas
Better however thats still wifi which will not have same results as ethernet.
Orbi app tests speeds between the RBR and ISP Modem. WiFi device is not tested in the mix there.
Ooklas speed test app does test with the wifi device in the mix. Devices will have some impact on this based on there design and support. Most devices are 2x2 which is limiting for performances. 4x4 can handle more speeds and rates.

I guess my question is: should I be able to get close to 1Gb/1Gb when very near the RBR850 (assuming the Modem is delivering 1Gb/1Gb and the ethernet connection between the Modem and Router is good)? I just haven't expected this much degradation at the Router. I realize the devices (laptop, phone, etc.) will have an impact, but I can't find a single device - I've tried 6 - that comes close... making me think that the Router is struggling in some way.

This is the wifi radio/antenna configuration in the client devices.
For instance, an iPhone 14 has 2x2MIMO and also has a maximum channel bandwidth of 80 mhz. That limits its max physical wifi rate to 1200 Mbps with 802.11ax. Your Orbi is capable of twice that speed.
Note this is the max theoretical speed. Real-world speeds are much less.
Another factor is the transmit power of the device. While Apple doesn't disclose that for iPhones, most mobile devices only transmit about 15 milliwatts in order to keep battery life reasonable. That can limit the upload speed.
You not see 1Gb over wireless on phones or pad. Design on there electronics will be limiting. Use the system for what it does and the speeds that you see with your devices.
