Set up in low bandwidth service
Help! I am going from a Gigspeed service to snail-speed service. Currently have cable and average speeds over 600mbps. Wi-fi Orbi CBR750 with a RBS750 ethernet to PC.
New location service is ADSL with 15-40mbps!!!!. Only other availability is fixed cellular (T-Mobile) or satellite (HughesNet Fusion or ViaSat - both limiting data count or data overages are slowed.)
It was suggested setting up a redundant services to best get consistent and fastest internet access. But with different types of modems, wi-fi , satellites, etc. not clear on the set up.
How do I set up, what do I need, who can guide me?
Help, old lady here trying to move to my forever home and continue to work and live. 15mbps - 40mbps!!! SMH.

The CBR is not compatible with ADSL ISP services which require a telephone line for it's service. The CBR requires a cable coax line from a Cable ISP service to get it's connection from.

Thank you, yes, I am prepared to purchase a whole new set up. But have no clue what to purchase and how to set it all up to maximize my service.
Also, I am told Fiber Optic will be coming, but no time frame. Apparently it was laid by the main road. Not sure how far that will go over the next couple of years.
IF your going with ADSL, I recommend you get wit the ADSL ISP and see what they have to offer. Ask them if there is a modem only option or gateway router option. Modem only option would allow you to install your own wifi router system, like another Orbi system, something RBK### series. This is a system with out a built in modem like the CBR has. RBKs are just the router and wifi system. Also There is a Nighthawk MK series that is a bit cheaper for people on a budget.
How big is the home? Sq Ft?
