Some error occurred while enabling/disabling remote management
TL/DR: Getting an error message when trying to enable remote access on mobile device using Orbi App:
Orbi 850 system in access point mode.
There apparently is no place in the Orbi web-based App to enable or disable remote access. (Why is that!?)
When accessing the Orbi 850 on a local network via the Iphone app, selecting the "hamburger" in top left and then selecting "Enable Remote Access", I get the error "Some error occurred while enabling/disabling remote management".
Hardware Version RBR850
Firmware Version V7.2.7.15_5.1.16
GUI Language Version V3.0.3.12_2.1.30.3
Protection Engine Version 2.2.214.4/1.0.0.2049
Operation Mode AP
I believe I have read about a similar error on an earlier version of firmware.
Any recommendations are appreciated.

Where specifically is enabling remote management done in the web-based app? I cannot find it and have same issue with the "Some error occurred while enabling/disabling remote management"
My Orbi systems are in AP mode BTW.

Netgear abandoned "remote management" a few years ago. Back then it talked of security issues.
Why is the Remote Management feature being removed from NETGEAR routers? - NETGEAR Support

AP mode disables many features, even when they still work in router mode.

Interesting. I have three separate installs of Orbi's at different locations: They are:
2 x RBR970s
1 x RBR850
All systems are configured to Access Point mode using pfSense on a network appliance for routing functions.
The two RBR970s -- via the mobile app -- work well and show the router (in access point mode), the satellites, and all devices wirelessly connected to each satellite.
The RBR850 pukes when you try to enable that same remote access via the mobile app.
I suppose the software for the 970 is more modernized and they have reestablished this function?
Whatever the answer, the remote access of a system in Access ppoint mode (by way of a mobile device) is still very useful to check status/etc.
