Very strange issue with AX4200 Tri Band Orbi

Hi everyone.

First time poster and I have an issue that is frankly weird (well i think it is anyway).

My Orbi AX4200 (1 satelite) is working very well for my PC, gaming consoles etc. The issue I am having is with my Samsung Galaxy A8 tablet. For some reason, when my tablet is picking up the router wifi i continuously get the  "Connected without internet" issue and cannot get online, although very occasionally it will connect for say 30 seconds before dropping out.

The second i walk to the other end of the house and the tablet switches over to the satelite it is 100% completely fine, works at full capacity and with no drop outs.

I have tried everything including unplugging both the orbi and the router, forgetting the network on the tablet... I even did a few suggested things such as turning on wifi throttling (or something) and messing with the DNS settings. Im out of ideas.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

and no other device has issues?

    Just the one device?

Have you tired disabling AX? maybe the tablet has an issue with AX.

Such strange issues can be caused by double routers. What is the model of the ISP modem/router to which the Orbi router is connected please?

It is a TPLink AC 1600. The wifi part is turned off.

Issues only started recently, it has worked before.
