  • Netgear makes several devices that are Docsis 3.1 capable.

    CM1000

    CM1100

    CM1200

    CM2000

It all comes down to what you want. I wouldn't recommend the cm1200 just because it has 4x ethernet ports (cost extra for) and for most users, they can't use them. Reason why is that unless you have business class line or pay for multiple public ip address, you can only connect 1 device to the modem. Meaning the other ethernet ports are pointless. Both the cm1100 and cm1200 support port aggregation so ports 1 & 2 are useful if you're using that. but again, if you don't pay for the extra or have business class, ports 3/4 dont' do you any good.

      Thanks for the recomenedation.

I was thinking netgear CAX80, but it is unbelievable expensive. So, I think CM1100 is a good alterative choice.

By the way, CM2000 has not coming out yet, right? The official website said this product will be available around 9/24. So, I guess this is a new product, right?

      • The CAX80 is a modem/router combo device.

the CM2000 has been released, it just sold out quickly. The CM2000 has a 2.5G ethernet port on it instead of using link aggregation like the cm1100 and cm1200.
