What should I believe is the actual connection speed?

I've got 2 860 sats that show as connected at 5Ghz and "good" in the attached devices table but the connection status stats shows the WLAN backhaul running at 2402M. What should I believe is the actual connection speed?

Tech specs are this for this series of Orbi:

Orbi AX6000 Router and AX6000 Satellite
    (2400 + 2400 + 1200Mbps)†

2400 would be the max rated connection rate between the RBR and RBS for BH in a perfect setting. Building materials and distance will impact that and since we don't have low level access to FW output via telnet anymore, can't read what is actual.

Link speed isn't the best test.

Your best test is to hardwire a pc/laptop into the satellite and do a speedtest on it and see what you get.

Years ago when I started testing mesh networks, I tested a ton of locations in my house. Surprisingly, sometimes a small lateral movement or moving further away can help avoid interference from objects in the walls or layout (think HVAC, metal fridges, etc). So its worth doing a little testing in different locations to see what works the best.

And I'd recommend the hardwired option so you aren't testing both the backhaul (router----sat) and the fronthaul (sat---->device).
