Bridge Mode?
Going to be setting up a new Orbi 770 system in my home. Attaching it to a Comcast Router/Modem. Am I better off adding a 2nd WFi network in home or turning on bridge mode on the comcast router and using the Orbi as only network? I'm going to be having about 30 devices cameras, phones, tablets, computer, etc).
Thanks in advance.
Best to disable the wifi radio on the ISP router and if you can get the ISP gateway in to bridge or modem only mode, would be best.
Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router.

Try option #2 first...

An alternative is to have Comcast install a simple modem (not a combination modem/router/wifi device).

Thanks - I have been able to use bridge mode using my current Nighthawk router but I wasn't sure which mode would be more efficient for the Orbi system. I currently use the Nighthawk as a second router/AP and it drives me nut sometimes having two SSIDs.

Keep it simple. The Orbi system, you'll only have one SSID to connect everything with. Though for some additional needs you can have a separate IoT work for those problematic devices.
