I am getting single digit speeds

I am having even worse issues here as I use my LoT network as my 2.4 ghz only one and  my older ring cameras dont have 5 ot 6 ghz.   I am.getting single digit speeds!   Even one camera that is no more than 10 ft away from one of my  direct line of site satellite 10 feet away is

6 or 8 upload Mps.   Ring says this is my issue but that seems awefully slow.  On ny Samsung S26 Ultra I get around 30 download and 60 up

Depending on Mfr support of 2.4Ghz devices, connection rates and channel width, speeds on the IoT network won't be the same as the main WLAN or compared to 5Ghz.

Most IoT devices don't have high connection rates and mostly support 20Mhz channel width, maybe some on 40Mhz.

Noticed that most Apple devices have a max connection rate between 190 and 230Mbps on 2.4Ghz at 20Mhz channel width. So speeds seen will be slow.

I just tested a Intel AX210 on 2.4Ghz IoT and forcing it to preferred 2.4Ghz on AX mode on 2.4Ghz IoT, max connection rate seen was 280Mbps.

What your seeing on your Samsung would be around the norm for 2.4Ghz.

For that size of home, the RBR would be only needed. Having the RBS maybe causing problems with too much wifi signal overlap and saturation in that size of home.

  • I have a similar problem causing ring camera issues including one that in in SAME room as my satelite about 10ft away and in line of site.   My home is not huge (1400 sq ft) I have router and 1 sat upstairs one sat downstairs in living room.  Connection is great between both satellites and router and currently have 1 gig service with Netgear CM-3000 modem.   On my main network im getting 900-1100 speeds anywhere in house (1 gig service is about 1150 most of the time).   Now I tried setting cameras to either network same speed (all are older 2.4ghz ones).   I  have 40-44 devices connected total.   Only maybe 20 to my LoT which are ky sonos speakers the cameras and the dishwasher and oven.   The speakers are not except for one room and get rssi values if -35 to -45 on all cameras yet am getting 9mbps upload speeds one one camera and 12 on another with download speeds to show to calculate at all.   My s26 ultra sees 30-40 download speeds and 60 upload standing next to these cameras.   This seems off to me.   Anyone else grapple with piss poor ring camera speeds even within 10ft of satellite?
