NAT loopback fails for clients connected through RBE370 satellite
I’m using an Orbi RBE371 router with an RBE370 satellite, and I’ve found what looks like a NAT loopbackNAT issue. NAT loopback works normally when a device is connected directly to the main route...
For example:
curl https://example.ddns.net:8000
times out when connected through the satellite, but works through the router.
The hostname correctly resolves to my WAN IP, and I tested multiple forwarded ports with the same result.
Sounds like that should work. I am wondering you've tried:
- disabling ipv6 in the client PC
- testing with a port that isn't forwarded
That might give some clues.
Is there a particular service you need to get to work? FTP with passive ports comes to mind. But if that is the issue, you could potentially work around it by switching the to FileZilla client.
