3 TopicsBlocking websites - no whitelist capability without Armor???
I've just purchased and installed an RBE371. Current firmware. After a couple of days, I disabled Armor because it was blocking a LOT of websites incorrectly. Now I find that my router is still blocking some websites, and I cannot find any way to unblock these. I presume I could reactivate Armor and unblock them, but that is not an acceptable solution. I have looked in both the Orbi app and in the router web login. No joy in either place. BTW, I have confirmed that the problem is with the Orbi product by connecting my PC and phone to another Internet connection (hotspot on my phone, with my phone's WiFi turned off). There are ZERO problems when I bypass the Netgear product(s). I have also ruled out DNS problems by trying various public DNS servers. (e.g., OpenDNS and others.) Can anyone tell me how to whitelist websites without Armor turned on? Does such a feature exist? Thanks for any help you can offer. (BTW, I'm a telecom engineer. I understand how this stuff works, so I have not gone into exhaustive technical detail. It's not needed. Let's keep it simple - I just need to whitelist blocked sites.)29Views0likes4CommentsNew Orbi 370 Router
Hi. i just hooked up my new Orbi 370 dual band Wifi 7 Mesh router with 1 satellite. Before this I was using an Orbi RB50 Wifi 5 Mesh router with 1 satellite. After setting up the new router, I'm testing the same wifi speeds as I was getting with my old router. I was expecting a little bit a jump in speed. Am I wrong to expect this? Can anyone speak to this? I have 1 GB fiber internet coming in. The speed of the router is testing in the mid-900mb range. However, my wifi download speed is testing around 400mb and about 650 upload speed. I tested it 3 times after getting everything hooked up. I live in a one-story 1800 sq ft ranch house with a finished basement that is also 1800 sq ft. My base station is in the middle of the main floor and my satellite is in the middle of the basement. This setup was by far the best setup with my old router system. Thanks for any insight you might have.92Views0likes4CommentsNOTICE: New Orbi BE 370 Series System Released
