New RBR 370 router - WiFi 7 Setting?

So I know this will sound like a noob question but I honestly don't know the answer.

This is a Wifi 7 router and I have  a phone that is wifi 7 capable. Currently, the phone shows the wifi symbol with 6 in the upper right corner.

Is there a setting in the router page that I need to enable to broadcast in wifi 7?

Thanks,

Greg

To get WiFi 7, Mixed mode needs to be set. WPA2 is default on the 370 series due to NG wanting backwards compatibility. If you set mixed mode, you may see some older devices not work well with WPA3 being on the signal. If you see this, you can put these devices on the IoT network and then set WPA2 only.

I downloaded the latest firmware update from. Netgear site. Plus, I set auto update.

What brand and mode# is this phone?

No setting to change to Wifi 7 (BE mode) and MLO. Devices automatically connect to this mode if they support it.

MLO is 2.4 and 5Ghz on the 370 series.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. I've confirmed with Samsung it is WiFi 7 compatible. They said no settings on the phone need to be changed.

Here is a screenshot of my available networks. TC_Ridge is my home network and as you can see it shows wifi 7 in the upper right hand corner. But when I connect it changes to wifi 6.

      Any thoughts on that?

Has it shown the "7" WiFi symbol when connected to other systems?

What security mode is set on the RBR? Should be WPA2 and WPA3.

Also what firmware version # is loaded on your system?
