Orbi 970 issues
I recently purchased several Orbi 970 kits. One with Router and 1 Satellite and one with Router and 2 Satellites
i was told that the second router would just act as a Satellite even though it had a Different SSID and password. My new router connected fine but will only see 1 Satellite instead of 4
what am I doing wrong ?
Thanks for your help

You were misinformed. (Lied to.)
The RBE971 router can never act as a satellite. It must be connected to a host network (cable modem, fiber optic ONT, ISP router) using an Ethernet cable and creates it's own WiFi network.
It could be defined with the same SSID/password as the other system, but will remain a separate WiFi network. Mobile devices will not roam seamlessly between it and the primary WiFi network.
It can be placed in one of two 'modes':
- Router Mode means that it creates an entirely different IP subnet for devices connected to it.
- Access Point (AP) mode means that it does not create an IP subnet and does not fulfill DHCP requests from client devices. All devices connected to the this system will be in the same IP subnet as the primary router that it is connected to.
If you want a WiFi system with one router and three satellites, that it what you need to purchase.

will I still be able to use the satellites that came with it
Yes. Do a Factory Reset on those two satellites. Then, use the web interface menu "Add Orbi Satellite" to sync them with the working router. That will result in one router and three satellites all with the same WiFi SSID/password. The remaining router will be a "spare".
