Orbi BE and IoT Network Check and Observations

Looking for some feedback on the IoT network and operation.

 

Can you connect to the IoT network at the RBR and at each RBS?
Does the connected IoT network devices appear on the RBRs web page and Orbi app correctly.

 

Please give model# and firmware that you give feedback on.

    This is an interesting question because I'm wondering about MLO, Guest and IoT networks propagating to the satellites myself.

     

    I have done a simple experiment but I have to say that client updates are quite slow (probably because I have a little to much overlap between main and satellites) so it's hard to be sure about what I've seen.

     

    From my simple testing my impression is that both SSIDs, the IoT and Guest as well as MLO support, are available at the satellites (I actually only tested one satellite) and the devices appear in the web console, the Orbi app and on the satellite client listing.

    However the satellite client listing is not exactly useful for most of the connected devices. Device assigned name is not set but IP address appeared accurate and I used that for my checks.

    I don't believe this is a problem since the satellite web console isn't really meant for everyday use.
