Orbi 770 Satellites Randomly Disable All Radios and Drop Clients
I’m posting this to document a serious defect in the Orbi 770 series and to express growing frustration after months of dealing with it. I have an Orbi 770 system (RBE770 satellites, firmware V10...

Regarding the MFR/Model# of the ONT - can you give me a reason why this would matter? I'm not asking in a "smart-ass" way, I'm asking because it's hard to get to and does not seem relevant.
The LAN cable between the modem and router is the one that comes with the Orbi system. Presumably it's a good cable (I would hope).
Devices connected - usually around 22. Mixture of IoT devices (only a few), and laptops, phones, TV's, and gaming systems.
SQ Ft of my home is around 3,200.
Distance between router and satelite range between 35ish - to 45 feet.
I'm not sure if it the issue happens with the RBS turned off. I need connectivity in the various parts of my home, so I can't really test with the satellites off.
I don't know if the issue happens with those options disabled. I know I"ve turned Armor off and that hasn't resolved the issue. I can go ahead and try disabling the other ones though.

Any progress on this?
Asking about brand and model# of ONT or ISP Modem is very relevant. Helps us to establish issues that can be caused at this level. Just a question to help us better know what you have working with the Orbi system. Nothing nefarious meant by this questions. Most everyone gets asked this question.
For that size of home, the RBR and just one RBS would be needed. Having two RBS deployed could be causing problems. Try turning off the 2nd RBS.
Let us now if disabling all those features I suggested also helps.
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?

Hi.
I will get the brand/model# of ONT and provide later tonight. Can you explain how a certain make/model ONT would cause an RBS to malfunction and turn off its radios? Is there documentation somewhere about this?
In regard to turning off one RBS, can I simply do that and see how things operate?...or should I actually remove it from the Orbi network entirely so it doesn't even show up in the network map topology? Does it matter?
The layout of my home is a bit strange, and if I only used 1 RBS, it would likely have some issues penetrating the walls/metal/etc upstairs. By hardwiring the 2 RBS's upstairs, with them being 30 feet apart, this avoids that problem and provides coverage to all my bedrooms. That's why it would be nice if I could adjust the TX myself on each RBS, but I understand this product does not have that flexibility.
No, a factory reset has not been done on the product since the last firmware update. Since I have received multiple, brand new replacements and the issue persists on multiple firmware versions, I haven't gone through and factory reset anything....thought it seemed overkill, and I'd really like to know what is causing the problem.
Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.

Can you draw us up a floor plan lay out of the home and mark on this where you have the RBR and RBS place? Put this on a cloud share and just post this link here. Would be helpful to us to see what you have as a floor plan and the arragnement and placement of the units.
Yes wired RBS would be recommended if you have the infrastructure to get them ethernet connected, or via Power Line or maybe MoCa.
Just turn OFF one RBS is all. No need to disconnect it from the RBRs UI.
And try disabling all of those features as well.
Disable logging too.
May need to factory reset. Seen odd issues in systems not working right after just a general over the air application of FW. Sometimes a full on reset maybe needed if issues are seen.
If you say this happens with other systems or replacement systems, I'd probably guess that this is not a Orbi issue, rather something in your environment or conditions that maybe causing these issues to be seen. Another system or different system shouldn't exhibit same issues. If they do, means something else is at play here.

I'm sorry, I forgot to mention that I have not tried disabling those features. I will do that tonight as well.
