Re: RBE971 drops offline & reboots continually, ready for return

Well seven months later the issue really hasn’t been fixed but just reduced in frequency. I’m seeing both WiFi and wired networks go down at the same time for 3-5 minutes at random every 1-5 days. After loading the debug log I learned the whole OS is crashing by the System Uptime field. When this occurs sometimes my IoT devices don’t come back on the network. I’ve got a security camera that’s almost never up and many other devices I’m tired of resetting.

I’ve been messaging support back and forth for over a month without any hope of resolution since their standard debug steps don’t apply. The router crashes so there’s no way to get debug out of it.

Their support graciously wants to close the issue after 5 days automatically so I’ve had to email them periodically so they don’t close out the issue.

I’m running the latest firmware and have followed all the initial debug steps including factory reset.

Others have posted that putting a USB fan on top of the RBR has stopped the RBRs mysterious reboots or disconnections...Something you might try.
