Satellites for RBE771 connect but don't work

My son installed it and says it is CAT5 e. So directly
connecting to a laptop in the distant office via Ethernet, I get good but not great speed, but when I try to go through the satellite Ethernet, I get kilobyte speeds if any.
I'd try the RBS directly ethernet connected behind the RBR or bring the RBS near to the RBR, say 30 feet and then test with the laptop connected beind the RBS. You should see much better speeds here.
If you do, then the wire between the RBR and the remote location maybe the cause. If speeds are still bad, possible faulty RBS unit.
